Toyota recognises suppliers

This year, 12 winners earned the coveted award, from more than 130 suppliers used by TIEM. They are: Okaya USA Inc, Anchor Enterprises, Aisan, Apex, Champion Lift Systems Inc, Commercial Fluid, Julian Electric, NTN Bearing Company of America, Tasus Corporation, Toyoshima, Toyotomi and US Tsubaki.
Briggs supports Warrior Open golf event
Dallas, TX, United StatesForklift distributor Briggs Equipment underwrote a USD100,000 sponsorship for the 2011 Warrior Open golf tournament in Irving, Texas. The George W. Bush Presidential Center military service initiative held the event on 10-11 October and featured US armed forces' members who have endured severe physical injuries in the global war on terror.
"We were honoured to have been part of such a worthy cause that plays an important role in the rehabilitation process for many servicemen and women seriously injured on the front lines," says Dave Bratton, president and chief executive officer of Briggs International.

Cat issues white paper, terminology guide

white paper and a terminology guide to complement its
cost comparison tool.
The information and a recently launched forklift cost comparison tool promote the benefits of electric alternating current lift trucks versus units with internal combustion engines.
The white paper is entitled "Choosing Electric Lift Trucks over Internal Combustion". Carl Modesette, Cat lift trucks product marketing specialist, says, "We want to help our customers make the best-informed and most cost-effective decision when choosing a lift truck for their specific application."
Included with the white paper is a "Power Redefined Dictionary" to help users better understand electric forklift terminology.
Houston-based joint venture MCFA manufactures and distributes forklifts in the North, Central and South American markets.
