Fork inspection: safety first!

Because forks directly support and handle loads, their condition must be carefully monitored to guarantee safe operating conditions. In particular, heel wear must not exceed 10% of the original fork thickness, in accordance with ISO 5057. If this limit is exceeded, the fork must be replaced or its capacity re-rated.

To ensure accurate inspections, the use of a fork caliper is strongly recommended.
