Bobcat launching new lithium-ion battery packsBobcat is introducing a new line of high-performance, lithium-ion battery packs which have been designed specifically for Class 1 forklifts and will be available in the North American market in Q1 2026.
Bobcat says the new battery pack range will be available earlier in select global markets.
The lithium-ion battery packs are designed for cushion-tyre, pneumatic-tyre and 3-wheel forklifts, providing an alternative to traditional lead-acid options.
The range includes 48V and 80V models available in 400Ah and 600Ah capacities, delivering consistent output across a wide range of applications.
Bobcat says the packs feature a reinforced internal architecture and advanced system controls designed to support reliability in high-utilisation environments such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities and distribution centres.
It adds that the batteries charge up to 50% faster than many comparable systems, enabling extended shifts and around-the-clock operation.
“With no watering, no daily up-keep and no battery swaps required, fleet management becomes more efficient and predictable,” Bobcat states.
An integrated cold-weather heat pad activates automatically in low temperatures, helping maintain output in freezer facilities and winter climates.
“With this new lithium-ion battery line, Bobcat is expanding its electric power portfolio to support forklift businesses and their growing shift toward advanced power solutions,” said Jaesung Choi, product manager, Bobcat Company.
“These batteries are purpose-built for rigorous, day-to-day use, offering durability, efficiency and productivity for the most demanding material-handling applications.”
