Mexican logistics service provider Seglo Logistics, a subsidiary of the Schnellecke Group, with headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany, has ordered 19 ETV 216i reach trucks from Jungheinrich. This truck model is the first reach truck in the world with a permanently installed lithium-ion battery as a standard feature. New forklift seating maker Trône Seats is meeting with OEMs after showing its first prototype at CeMAT earlier this year. CAT dealer Permatt has won a six-figure contract to supply a fleet of new machines to JDR Cable Systems (JDR), the leading supplier of subsea umbilicals and power cables. Hyster-Yale Materials Handling has completed its acquisition of 75% of the outstanding shares of, and a controlling interest in, Zhejiang Maximal Forklift Co., Ltd. The purchase price of USD90 million was funded using Hyster-Yale's cash on hand. A Coventry company has turned its waste and materials handling fleet completely JCB yellow with its latest order of four new machines. Wastemasters Hire's latest purchase includes a 437 wheeled loading shovel, a 457 wheeled loader, a 560-80WM Loadall and a JS20MH wheeled materials handler. When a seal pup became trapped by boulders on a South Wales beach, Reid Lifting came to the rescue with one of its lightweight gantry cranes. The gantry system was erected above the seal, nicknamed Miracle by volunteers, and levelled out on an uneven surface created by rocks on Aberavon Beach in Port Talbot. Yale assists pet charity Greenville, NC, United States Yale Materials Handling Corporation has donated a Yale YA55-PT manual hand pallet truck to the Pet Food Pantry of Eastern North Carolina. Mobicon Straddle Carriers recently delivered four Mobicon Top Frame Straddle Carriers to be used at Northport's Container Terminal in Port Klang, Malaysia.
