Hyster-Yale Materials Handling has completed its acquisition of 75% of the outstanding shares of, and a controlling interest in, Zhejiang Maximal Forklift Co., Ltd. The purchase price of USD90 million was funded using Hyster-Yale's cash on hand. As a result of the acquisition, Zhejiang Maximal Forklift Co., Ltd. has been renamed Hyster-Yale Maximal Forklift (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. A Coventry company has turned its waste and materials handling fleet completely JCB yellow with its latest order of four new machines. Wastemasters Hire's latest purchase includes a 437 wheeled loading shovel, a 457 wheeled loader, a 560-80WM Loadall and a JS20MH wheeled materials handler. The machines are built at JCB's factories in Uttoxeter, Rocester and Cheadle, Staffordshire. When a seal pup became trapped by boulders on a South Wales beach, Reid Lifting came to the rescue with one of its lightweight gantry cranes. The gantry system was erected above the seal, nicknamed Miracle by volunteers, and levelled out on an uneven surface created by rocks on Aberavon Beach in Port Talbot. Yale assists pet charity Greenville, NC, United States Yale Materials Handling Corporation has donated a Yale YA55-PT manual hand pallet truck to the Pet Food Pantry of Eastern North Carolina. Mobicon Straddle Carriers recently delivered four Mobicon Top Frame Straddle Carriers to be used at Northport's Container Terminal in Port Klang, Malaysia.
