Lencrow has added BOMAQ to its range of equipment.
Independent forklift dealer Lencrow has ordered eight new 3T BOMAQ rough-terrain forklifts from the Spanish manufacturer, with the first two units due in February 2014.
Managing director Ross Grassick tells Forkliftaction.com News
the two units will be supplied to South Queensland Materials Handling, while the other six will be added to Lencrow's hire fleet.
"These forklifts, all with a special low height of 1,990 mm, are to replace an aging fleet of low all-terrain units," says Grassick.
He believes the forklifts, with their exceptional manoeuvrability, are "the units of the future".
"Not only can they perform in harsh outdoor conditions, they're also able to be used in the warehouse. I see many of these units replacing units on sites that currently require two pieces of equipment."
He says the BOMAQ forklift has the tightest turning circle of any 4WD forklift and performs like a 2WD unit.
He adds that although it will never be the cheapest unit on the market, it provides all the features and performance options missing on many all-terrain units.
