Material Handling Service Technician I

Farmers Equipment Company is a full-service agricultural, material handling and construction equipment dealer with locations in both Lynden and Burlington. We currently have an opening for a Material Handling Service Technician I to work out of our Burlington Store serving customers at their locations throughout Whatcom County.

Primary responsibilities:
* Service, repair and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment to OEM specifications at customer locations
* Represent FEC in a professional manner while serving internal and external customers
* Accurately detail repairs done on Work Orders
* Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, research parts and repairs needed to successfully resolve issues leading to a positive outcome
* Ability to meet Standard Repair Times for assigned work
* Meet company goal for Collectable Efficiency
Requirements:
* Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation
* Minimum three years directly applicable experience preferred
* Competency in computer-based troubleshooting
* Ability to perform work in a safe and professional manner, both autonomously and as part of a team
* Outstanding customer service skills
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Clear driving record with valid Driver's License
* Proven dependability and good housekeeping skills
