Job Responsibilities

As a Resident Service Technician, 2nd Shift with MH Equipment, you will manage your inventory to ensure that you know when parts need to be replenished. You will accurately account for all paid labor hours, for all parts used in repairs and for van parts inventory. You will submit complete documentation for all work in a timely manner, maintain the cleanliness of all forklifts, products, tools and customer's facility and keep your provided service van clean and well serviced at all times.

Additional Responsibilities of theResident Service Technician, 2nd Shift include:

•Diagnose and repair lift trucks and other identified products timely and with minimum required call-backs or re-work
•Communicate with the Branch Manager and provide a high level of customer satisfaction
•Perform only those repairs clearly and specifically requested by the owner of the lift truck or product
•Document thoroughly and assess the condition of the product related to other repairs that are not part of the repair or quote
•Account for all paid labor hours, all parts used and for van parts inventory
•Submit complete documentation for all work in a timely manner as required by Management
•Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools and customer facility while working
•Maintain company tools in working order and return them to the shop after use
•Adhere to all Company policies and work rules
•Advise Fleet Supervisor of job progress, delays, changes, status, etc.


Requirements / Skills: Job Requirements

As a Resident Service Technician, 2nd Shift with MH Equipment, you must possess a positive attitude, superb verbal and written communication skills and great customer service skills. You must be able to communicate well over the phone, work successfully in a team environment and complete neat and timely paperwork. You must have a strong work ethic and sense of integrity, the desire to serve others and an eye for detail and accuracy.

Additional Requirements for the ResidentServiceTechnician, 2nd Shift include:

•Technical background is required
•Must have knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel systems and charging systems
•Must have own tools
•Must have good communication skills and be able to complete accurate paperwork
•Must be able to meet the physical requirements of a service technician
•Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
•Must have a good attitude and be able to successfully work in a team environment
•Regular and prompt attendance is required
•Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress and preparation

Relationships: Reports to the Branch Manager

Working Conditions: Employee is expected to work from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, forty hours per week plus overtime as required. Workday will begin and end at the customer's facility unless otherwise directed by The Branch Manager. This is an hourly position.
