We are looking for an Equipment Mechanic to work in our customer's shop repairing their material handling equipment. As an entry-level mechanic, you'll perform general, non-diagnostic repairs on a wide range of material handling equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, utility vehicles, floor care equipment and more.

The shift for this position is Mon/Tue/Wed/Thur 11 pm to 7:30 am and Fri/Sat 8pm to 4:30 am. You will do preventative maintenance and repair work on the equipment. You will act as the point of contact between the company and our customers and represent the company in a professional light as you provide the best in mechanical services and customer service.

Specific Duties

Actively support, promote and lead safety initiatives. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Work safe at all times and report any unsafe work or work environments to management.
Install batteries and check electrical systems
Inspect tires
Operate and test equipment
Ability and desire to learn to diagnose and repair systems.
Maintaining your own parts inventory based on the parts you carry in your van.
Completing and submitting all required paperwork
Providing the best possible customer service, including offering additional Wiese services, added-value items and equipment based on potential customer needs
Managing your workload effectively

For each job, perform hazard assessments and maintain a high standard of safe work practices and quality control.
Minimum of 3 years as a mechanic, or proof of completion at a technical school.
Strong multitasking and time management skills. Able to prioritize your day and self-manage.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and crouch/crawl in confined areas. Comfortable with heights above 25 feet.
Provide your own hand tools
Working knowledge of computer systems and able to quickly learn our software to complete online work orders.
Demonstratable customer service skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
Pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, comprehensive background record check, MVR (motor vehicle record) check, and proof of employment eligibility (E-Verify) are required for any position offered.
