The Field Service Engineer is a field-based position anywhere in the US and you will be responsible for providing management and technical leadership to ensure customer satisfaction. This role serves as a primary service contact for customers, dealers, service providers, and internal departments to properly identify, analyze and manage through appropriate resolution performance, reliability, and serviceability issues while maintaining cost effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities Include:
Resolve technical, performance, and customer relations issues with minimal supervision working with engineering, product management, manufacturing, dealers and sales representatives.
Assist in ensuring that our telematics systems meet the performance, reliability, durability, and operational characteristics required by the customer.
Provide oversight to Field Service Technicians in the installation and commissioning of equipment.
Perform system monitoring, data analysis, failure reporting and corrective-action duties which are crucial to improving product designs as they are introduced into all markets.
Support Sales & Applications Engineering activities by conducting field demonstrations and performance trials at OEM suppliers and prospective customers/partners.
Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring optimal performance of the product during operation, as well as the service provider during maintenance and repair, by providing the necessary support to maximize efficiency and value for all parties involved.
Requirements / Skills
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent commensurate work experience
6 years' experience in applicable fields with exposure to similar complex systems
Ability to travel up to 3 weeks, within a month
Previous experience in customer service relations and/or new product introduction preferred
