We are looking for a high-energy, driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to expand our presence in the material handling industry. As a BDR, you will be the front-line driver of our growth, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities for our high-efficiency industrial battery chargers.

You will target industrial equipment dealers, fleet managers, logistics hubs, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and manufacturing operations. Your goal is to generate qualified leads, set up discovery meetings, and build a robust sales pipeline for our Account Executive team.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Lead Generation:
Prospect and identify key decision-makers (Warehouse Managers, Fleet Directors, Operations Managers, Procurement, and Material Handling Equipment Dealers) using cold calling, targeted email sequences, LinkedIn outreach, and industry directories.

Inbound Lead Qualification:
Promptly qualify incoming inquiries from marketing campaigns, website requests, and industry trade shows to assess sales readiness.

Consultative Discovery:
Conduct initial discovery calls to understand potential clients' fleet sizes, current power/charging setups (e.g., Lead-Acid vs. Lithium-ion, Fast/Opportunity Charging needs), and operational pain points.

Pipeline Management:
Schedule qualified discovery meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives, ensuring seamless context handoffs.

Dealer & Channel Partner Mapping:
Support channel sales efforts by identifying and reaching out to independent forklift dealers and battery distributors.

CRM Maintenance:
Maintain meticulous records of outreach, lead status, key contact details, and notes within CRM.

Market Intelligence:
Stay informed on industry trends (e.g., warehouse automation, fleet electrification, energy efficiency regulations) to craft compelling, relevant messaging.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience:
3+ years of outbound sales or BDR experience, preferably in industrial supply, material handling, manufacturing, logistics, or commercial B2B sales.

Technical Aptitude:
Ability to learn and speak comfortably about industrial power systems, electrical specs, battery technologies (Lithium-ion, Lead-Acid), and warehouse equipment.

Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of cold outreach.

Tool Proficiency:
Experience using CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales prospecting tools (Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo).

Mindset:
High resilience, competitive drive, and strong organizational skills to manage high-volume activity.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience selling into material handling equipment (MHE) networks or working with major forklift brands (e.g., Toyota, Raymond, Crown, Hyster-Yale).

Basic understanding of industrial electrical infrastructure (AC/DC power, three-phase power, opportunity charging systems).

Benefits:
Compensation - Base + Commission
Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance; 401(k) match; Paid Time Off (PTO); remote work allowance.

Career Path:
Direct opportunities for advancement into Account Executive, Channel Partner Manager, or Field Sales roles within 12-18 months based on performance.
