First one ive seen this way!
you cant see the PS motor anyway you look at it,
thats what thru me off..
most i have seen are like you say under the floor plate!
well parkway
i guess there is always an oddball truck in the bunch
i have seen the P/S motor mounted under the battery on some models but generally they are mounted under the floorplate on the left side.
But anyhow glad you figured it out
good job
the link stoped working and i for got to save it can you resend for me
Thanks James
Thanks for the info forklift brasil !!
Found that the encoder was shot and the brush's on there way out too!
unlike most Yale's, this model, The PS motor is under the battery
first off that serial number you give is incorrect, the first digit should be a letter , not a number.
second, the steer motor is mounted underneath the floorplate as was said previously on the left side.
thirdly, if you go banging on it with any kind of hammer you risk damaging the motor, these are permanent magnet motors and banging on them will only run the risk of dislodging a magnet or breaking one, then you will be replacing a motor assembly instead of just putting brushes in one.
which brings me to the solution most likely in this scenario
if you have full contactor actuation and voltage is present across the contactor, make sure the fuse(s) are not blown, there should be two (40A) fuses in the rear panel both linked together on the bottom two sockets of the fuse block for the control fuses. If these fuses are blown they HAVE TO BE SLO BLO FUSES, nothing else will hold up. If no problems found there then the problem is most likely the brushes in the steer motor.
You will have to remove the screws holding the motor cover on the sides and look in there and see if they are worn out.
The hydraulic motor should be under the battery and the steer motor under the floorplate on the extreme left mounted vertically

I sent the complete manual
I have helped
Ok by looking at parts, Has components of a ERC040AFA814V024631
Does anyone have Schematic?
Im not sure thats the right model# all i could make out was
ERC040A could not make out the rest!!
complete SN 4814V024631
Did not spend a lot of time looking.
If it has a PS motor it's under the battery and could not see it.
Only seen 1 Hyd motor and it works the lift just fine
So no need to hit with hammer. Need to find what 94 & 95 code says.
When in a crunch here is a test that has never failed me, give the steer motor a smack with a dead blow hammer ( make sure the key is on and the seat switch is activated ). I do not have a manual on that truck but the codes sound like the brushes are worn out ( wear indicators ). If the motor tries to run then your question is answered, you can pop the top of the motor ( leave it in the machine ) and install new brushes if the armature is not to bad shape. Let me know how you make out
OK, Here ya go S/N 4814V024631
Please post the serial number
I check the manual
