Regards
do any of you guys hear from barloworld people in england?
Give barlows a chance just remember how hard it is out there
all the lift truck companys are suffering
and more will go under yet
I have a few friends that still work there and a bunch that have left.
Thats what happens when you go from privately owned to publicly owned.
I have many friends that still work there and its just about the worst its ever been.
Wrenn/Brungart (USA) was a great Hyster dealership before Barloworld got their hands on them. If you don't believe me, just ask anyone that is still at Barloworld that also worked for Wrenn/Brungart.
Barlows have been at the top before and will be back
they are cleaning up their act and have the backing to do it again.
Any salesman worth a darn left them a long time ago. The only one's that stayed on are guys that have 4 weeks of vacation time and are nearing retirement.
I used to be management in Barloword and they are going down hill fast. The corporate knee jerk reaction is to blame management, when the economy started failing they would not listen to reason or the facts. There have been many lay offs and unwarranted terminations through out the company. So dont believe the hype about how good and concerned they are.
tee hee hee...meant "Just reply to this message." Oops. Sorry!
Hi, guys! I've been following your discussion with interest. I work for Barloworld Handling and thought you may want to check out the story under Industry News. It gives insight into our recent changes. I'd be happy to answer any of your questions about Barloworld or Hyster, anytime. Just shoot me an e-mail. Thanks!
oddly enough they are hiring heavily in memphis tn for managers and techs, maybe just relocating offices to larger metro areas. Hickory NC is not doing well and several companies have closed branches there due to furniture and textile business decline.
I know their previous CFO (head accountant?) has moved to a Caterpillar dealer,,, I am so tempted to tell Rob1 that they are closing just the branches in the Carolinas,,, but I have NO real idea, and I think if anyone told you they knew what was going on they should be suspect of not telling the truth... you can bet these things are sworn to secrecy...
