the End of Materials Handling as it is known today

The Materials Handling market is about to change. With only around six or seven of the world's manufactures serving. With in the next 10 years most warehouse will be completely different Companies like KION of China DAMATIC or TOYOTA of Japan VANDERLANDE will dominate the warehouse business with hole turnkey products. Pallet trucks, reach trucks VNA truck will all be replaced with automated equipment.

Counter balance forklift sales will also decline and be replaced with complete handling systems that will be able to move products around a facility with out the need of an operator. Out side the facility there will also be big changes Both Diesel and electric forklifts will be replaced with 100% zero emission products that will have much longer ranges then electric forklifts and will be able to handle loads up to 72,000kg while being 100% zero emission. Companies Like Hyster who have backed Hydrogen to the tune of up to $260 million investment will see this disappear as hydrogen forklifts wont be able to compete with the new technologies that will offer lower cost's ,no need for high pressure systems ,be less explosive and more cost effective than hydrogen.

From here it looks like Dave's real goal is to get his name into the Guinness Book of Records for having spear headed the longest running thread on FAC based on fiction. Probably would be disqualified as he has had three different FAC screen names that I'm aware of and has had multiple address locations from the UAE to the UK etc. Feel certain he would be investigated by both Sherlock Holmes and Inspector Clouseau as to his credibility.

The main manufactures all design from the same idea of how a forklift should be designed. What we have done has been not to conform to this old way of design,

Truely modular design allows for lower manufacturing cost faster manufacturing time and eas of shipping.

There are many examples of how old indutry companies have thought they know everthing. yet others have came a long changed how the equipment is designed and powered then moved on to produce a much better product than the existing manufactures

been doing this for over 40yrs, there IS a reason it hasn't been done (probably many reasons).

as i've said previously, if your 'modular' design is such a good idea why haven't ANY of the big mfg's done it yet?
I'll tell you why, it is not profitable for any mfg to do this, that's why.
You know if there were ANY advantage to it they would have already done it.

Years ago i remember some people in the industry talking about this modular design but guess what, it never went anywhere because of cost. Hate to tell you this but even though consumers want their stuff repaired fast, they are NOT willing to give their first born to do it, they will wait if they have to. And another thing, in EVERY case a new innovation comes out it can be sold to the gullible consumer if the sales pitch is good enough but afterwards they soon realize the reality of their decision after they have too much down time and have to spend over their budgets to keep the thing running. THAT matters MOST to them. Let's take the 'hydrogen fuel cell' for one, why has it not taken off and become the top power supply for machines? The cost of the unit compared to standard power plants for machines? Specialized training (or the lack there of)? Overall Cost of repair (with extended wait times on parts)?
I could go on but i won't because i know you'll just go into your standard sales pitch again or start bashing hyster or some other mfg and frankly i'm not interested in listening/reading it again.
Like i've said before, until you have a working unit you can display to the public you're wasting your time here promoting the pipe dream it has become at this point.

Simple question - where is your modular truck that eats ammonia for zero emissions being tested or rented or just a Lego made version on display in a video - Over the last few years you have offered on empty "kisses & promises" dates of a" Show & Tell" but "POOF" those dates came and went Kinda' like that famous fairy tale "Snow White" when Snow White sang a song and had a phrase that went something like this. "some day my prince will come." Stop dreaming about your fantasy and quit improving the design on your "Etch-a-Sketch" or doodling on a piece of paper and rearranging the Lego blocks to make a better mouse trap.
Sorry but you credibility is so low you have reach up to touch bottom - Your Own Doing.

If you understood it you would not have put a post like he one you have. As for customers thats their choice do they want to have to wait sometimes up to days or weeks , or do they want the machine back in service within one hour of the the service technition ariving.

i know what option i would choice, but then again you guys know everthing and we are completly wrong no one will exchange a unit. You guys were proberbly saying 20 years ago no one with exchange lead acid batteries

The modular concept is a selling point to the customer only. The thought is the manufacturer would just replace a module and get the customer back into running condition as quickly as possible. It just doesn't work that way.

Here is the reality:

#1.....NO module is self contained. Each one would be connected to another, or multiples. This would often lead to more work needing to be done to swap a module than a single component.

#2.....Modules will be larger, heavier and harder to handle than single components. This will require larger and special equipment to service. Something the tech would have to bring, rent, or the customer would need to have available.

#3.....Stocking and shipping larger modules is far more expensive to the manufacturer than components. Large modules on large machines would be to heavy for the likes of UPS or FedEx, requiring truck freight and extended delivery times and cost.

#4.....Dealers are less likely to stock service modules than components. Meaning modules would have to be shipped direct from the factory.

#5.....The cost of having a pump go bad requiring a module to be shipped, replaced, the bad one shipped back, and reconditioned and restocked would GREATLY exceed the cost of simply replacing the pump itself.

But, I'm sure this has all been figured out and the solution will be available on the 6th Sunday of the 13th month of a future year yet to be named. Don't worry, the non-investing investors who need to see this operation are already privy to it. You know it's true, because I typed it on the internet.

MCFA has been going in this direction for a while now, so have many other mfg's.
this is cosmetic mostly but as far as components they are trending into isolating components into non-servicable units forcing tech's to replace instead of repair. This trend has been going on for several years now.
I think dave's idea is to put machines together like leggo's, each system integrated into blocks, if a component in one block goes bad you just unplug the block and install a new one instead of trying to repair what part went bad inside that block. You send the block back to the mfg and they will recondition it and make it available for resale or return to the customer to reinstall on the unit.
The concept looks good on paper but putting it into a real world situation has been somewhat of a challenge for most mfg's due to cost. (i'm sure other engineering and logistical problems also). Otherwise they all would have done this long ago.
If you really think about it, this may be one reason our illustrious dave has not produced anything yet. Nobody with any weight and the resources will back him on this because they have already looked into it. IE: it's too cost prohibitive to do.
In todays world everything is driven by profit margins so as i said above, if this was worth it it would have already been done long ago.

So Dave still no answer to everybody's questions you promised to show it to the world in Q2/3 2019 then Q3 2020 show us the truck Dave then we might support you.
But then Dave maybe you need to remember what you spouted in posts before because I've been following this since you first told us of your diesel powered modular truck years ago. Most of us don't have selective memory Dave you seem to have and your no investors comment really made me chuckle pal you talked lists of times about how your company and investors are fully onboard with the project (selective memory again??)

lifter01 - just to sum up where this program is at I'll say "SOS different day"

Recall one of Dave's rants in the not so distant past where it what proclaimed Dave & company was ready to beach several of these units along with mobile "ammonia fueling units" on the Eastern shores of North America - US & Canada.

This never ending saga reminds me of a 1967 song titled "Daydream Believer" by a popular American pop/rock band "The Monkees". BTW in '67 they sold more albums that the Beatles. Was a senior in college that year.

BTW now Dave claims he had or has no investors along his journey. He needs to review his posts from the his days in the UAE where he clearly mentions his investors. Could be a case of "Convenient Memory Loss".
