Hello,
I am experiencing a problem with the reverse drive function on this truck.
The forward drive operates normally. The direction selector switch has been tested and is working correctly.
However, when reverse is selected, the reverse contactor does not energize and the controller appears to go into fault mode. The main contactor drops out immediately.
The reverse contactor coil has been tested and is OK. There is no voltage present at the coil when reverse is requested.
There is also a small electrical assembly mounted near the contactors, containing a relay, several diodes and other components. The entire assembly is heavily corroded, and I have already found one wire that was completely broken due to corrosion.
Could this corroded relay/diode assembly be responsible for the fault, or should I be looking elsewhere in the control circuit?
Any wiring diagrams, troubleshooting advice, or common failure points for this model would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
