The machine is slow. Battery is good. Seems to be faster in reverse. Seems to completely quit sometimes when turning handle to the left. I'm aware of the switches underneath that slow speeds depending on which way you're turning. I just replaced the rear wheels on this machine and while I was under there I repaired the wiring on one of the switches and cleaned them up. But without a manual, what other checks could I do? Adjust the pot in the multifunction handle? Thanks.

I checked the brushes they seemed to be free but they are worn bad. I pulled the left motor out.. I think it needs either a brush kit for both drive motors or both rebuilt/replaced... I will let the supervisor make the call on that one... Unless there is a way to determine if a motor is really bad or the just needs new brushes?
Before changing that motor out again, check to see if the brushes are sticking in the brush holder they like to do that

I freed up the brake linkage on the left side. out of curiosity I tried again, this time, the left motor is moving, but slow. Neither motor works in reverse.. The main bottom contactor is also not pulling in, top pulling in in both directions. bottom is doing nothing. I have a spare contactor I will try, unsure of its health.
tried spare contactor, now both contactors pulling in in both forward and reverse, but forward works and reverse does not, also machine is still very slow.
thanks for the reply Yidneck. I did what you said and the left drive motor is not pulling at all. I had just recently swapped it out from a spare parts forklift too, and forgot to even check it after because I got distracted. ANywho I have one more spare motor, would you know any kind of resistance check or bench test to test these motors? thanks.
Jack up the machine to get the drive tires off the ground and check if both wheels are turning when driving.
