Discussion:
ROLL CLAMP HYD. OVERHEATING

The Toyota (8FG50N) forklift that is fixed with a roll clamp, the entire hydraulic system is getting heated up. While working there seems to be some abnormal sound coming from the clamp area and the esp. the control vales fixed on the clamp is getting very hot while in operation.
Can anyone help us to find out the reason why the system is getting overheated?

I would start by removing the fittings in the block on clamp and checking for restrictions
Then check block , and hyd motor on clamp
A restriction is sometimes very difficult to locate it requires removing and checking presses and return points
It could be in one of the cyl locks also

Restriction is what heats up the oil. Every fitting is a restriction. Is there something online that is not normal ? We have these and run all day long and no issues. Is your attachment flow set to 9 or full on?
