You may be right as i recall a few months ago on a jungheinrich ac traction motor rotating very slowly and juddering the truck. Jungheinrich tech reported it to be an encoder fault but it was not, so when i went in put the clamp meter on windings and it was drawing excessive current even though motor was hardly turning.

Motor winding was down. Going to check monday morning and will update.

Thanks once again

Fact of the week
The word "robotics" was coined by Russian-born American science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov who first used the word in 1942 in his short story 'Runabout'. He characterised robots as helpful servants and as "a better, cleaner race."
