Raymond motor brakes will not release

Model R30-C30TT. Pulled the motor brakes off just to inspect and clean and when I reinstalled them, they won't disengage and the lift tries to drive threw them. What did I do wrong? Any help is appreciated

try to check electrical connections to brakes
if it ok
the brake distance should be adjusted to let the magnetic field pull brackes
i think there are 3 bolts with three nuts try to adjust them to let the distance small then try step by step
