Linde H30D (393) Carriage Roller Spigots

Hi all.

Has anyone ever swapped out a damaged (carriage roller) spigot on a standard mast carriage?

They're recessed into the carriage uprights and then welded into place. The weld pretty much fills the remaining space in the recess.

I've used a 60mm (52mm I.D.) bit, in a magnetic drill, to cut/remove the weld around the spigot, to about half the depth of the upright. But there is still no sign of the spigot being close to wanting to come out of there.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows just how deep the spigot is actually set into the recess.
