Hi guys im joining in hopes someone can help me by either roasting me and my messy shop or educating me on forklifts. This is my first piece of equipment i have ever owned.
The guy who sold it to me estimates its a 1972 or 73 Clark forklift. Has a continental flat 4 engine. Propane converted.
I want to identify the model number to get the correct brakes for this. Theyre drums but idk if all forklifts use the same drums and buy any of em but it has no brakes so im really wanting to get that fixed. Ty.

Just to let you know that truck is not that easy to do a brake job on the brakes are inside the rear housing you must raise the mast up to access the nuts that hold the housing to take the drums out also do not go inside the most channel unless you have that mast blocked up or you could be killed if it comes down on you when working. L would pull the floor boards and check the oil in the mastercylindet first there should be two masters one on each side one for the brake shoes and one for the inching petal fill then and see if you get brakes first.
Raise the hood , look by battery there should be a serial number stamped into the frame
It may even be on opposite side
That will give you a lead as to model for sure
It will possibly start with 235
I agree, maybe from the 60's even
