GM 2400

I'm working on a Yale GLP070VX with the GM 2.4 motor. What is the recommended timing belt service and is this an interference motor?

Yes, break a belt and get bent valves. These are famous for eating up all the belt drive gears. Front covers are not sealed. Belt change interval 2,000 hrs. Chicagoengines has all the parts for these. When you change out the crank gear, make sure you torque the crank bolt to specs. They will come loose if not.

I would recommend 5 to 7 thousand hours at most. Good luck
