I am interested in the idea of improving warehouse and forklift efficiency by reducing the number of empty tines driving around the facility. I have started researching the subject and there is a lot of discussion about task interleaving (warehouse management systems) and coming up with a way to draw out a Point to point diagram (spaghetti diagram). I see many oem's now offer telemetry systems, but typically they are geared toward accident reduction, pedestrian detection etc.. but i haven't seen much information on the capabilities of these systems in terms of route tracking, map plotting etc.
Anyone out there been to this rodeo before and have some insight as to which systems are out there, and affordable.
We currently run a fleet of Toyota's.
