I have a Crown WAV 50 that was throwing occasional error codes saying left drive motor wiring open or left drive motor defective.
I took the motor out to investigate and noticed the motor was soaked in oil. So, I decided to get inside the gearbox and replace the input & output shaft seals. That was mostly successful.
After that, I cleaned out the motor really good, replaced the brushes, and put everything back together.
Now when I start the truck, she fires up fine, but the controls are backwards in a way. The steering pod left commands throttle forward, turning right puts us in reverse. The throttle steers the truck left and right.
Any ideas on what went wrong? There was only one electrical connector on the motor, and two wires for the brake. The motor connector can only go in one way. I tried the brake wires in both possible positions, but have the same issue either way.
