A bit of advice

Requesting a bit of advice.

Found myself needing access to a forklift in order to move around and install a 4 post lift.

Instead of renting one I figured I'll look into purchasing a used one. I do t have a lot of money but I have time and skill that with the help of smarter people I can fix just about anything.

I found a forklift for $1200. The description says it smokes has a bit of loss of power. That it needs a headgasket.

look for the engine type and its spare parts " if it is available in your area buy the forklift "
if no never buy it
i think the main forklift problem in the engine so you can repair it

note :- examine the hydroluic system carefully " no leakage - pump temp. is normal "
hope you good luck
