Forklift chosen for safety and reliability

CANBERRA, ACT, Australia

Glass and aluminium fabricator, Sohos Aluminium Framing, has commissioned its first Toyota forklift for its materials handling needs.

According to office manager Lisa Pomakis, the company chose a forklift from Toyota’s popular 8-series range to handle the 6.5m long aluminium material that comes into the fabricating workshop.

"The 1,500kg Model 8-FG15 is going great. We knew the Toyota forklifts were reliable and the service back-up was good. With our new forklift, we have all the latest Toyota safety features," she says

The 8-Series forklift has a number of safety features including the brand’s system of active stability that monitors key forklift operations, detecting and counteracting instability to help reduce the risk of tip-overs.
