SPOTLIGHT ON OPTIMIZED CLAMPING FORCE - KEY TO DAMAGE-FREE PAPER HANDLING

Excessive clamping force is one of the most common causes of paper roll out-of-roundness damage. The varying paper grades, roll weight and diameter plus the high value of the rolls themselves are all factors requiring an extensive control of clamping force on behalf of the operator. The focus always placed on damage-free handling when developing new paper roll clamps and accessories, enables Bolzoni Auramo to offer the best solution for all handling situations through a complete series of options to optimize the clamping force.

The system uses optimized, lowest possible clamping force for all handling situations and with all paper grades, minimizing the possibility of paper roll out-of-roundness. It uses consolidated technical solutions combined with advanced electronics for controlling and optimizing the clamping operations.
CTX is the most accurate system in all handling conditions.

4-STAGE PRESSURE-RELIEF VALVE is the basic option, allowing the manual control of the clamping force.

Between the two options there is a new product, particularly innovative:
The FORCE-MATIC, a new fully mechanical pressure control system applicable to all Bolzoni Auramo paper roll clamps in order to prevent overclamping causing roll out-of-roundness.

One of the system’s most interesting features is its ability to sense the weight of the load from two different sources, thus calculating the best possible clamping pressure. The valve works basically as a mechanical calculator continuously adjusting the clamping pressure measured in the lifting and tilting cylinders. No electrical connections are required. The valve’s heavy-duty aluminium construction is combined with standard hydraulic components. All of these features decrease the maintenance needed. The system can be calibrated to suit most combinations of lift trucks and Bolzoni Auramo paper roll clamps.
