Toyota Material Handling Queensland has won its ninth national excellence award in the last 10 years.
Toyota Material Handling Australia chairman and CEO Terry Unnai presented the award to regional general manager Dan Williams at a gala dinner in Sydney last month.
The branch previously won six consecutive Toyota Industrial Equipment Dealer of the Year awards (the previous title for the Toyota Material Handling award), from 1998 to 2003.
According to Williams, the commitment and experience of his staff has been a key to the business's continued success over the past 10 years.
He notes that 20% of the staff now have over 10 years' service, "which helps us greatly with continuity of customer support".
"In 2004, we delivered 552 new machines in total and this year we're aiming to deliver over 1,200 new machines.
"In the same time-frame our staff has grown from 55 to 93, the majority in product support," he adds.
