HOIST & ELWELL-PARKER FORM PARTNERSHIP

BEDFORD PARK, Illinois, USA -- Hoist Liftruck MFG Inc, manufacturer of heavy-duty forklifts, has bought Cleveland, Ohio-based Elwell-Parker.
The price has not been released.
The purchase adds numerous specialty products to Hoist Liftruck's range. Elwell-Parker's range includes counterbalance trucks, low-lift platform trucks, rider/walkie custom vehicles.
Hoist will continue to sell Elwell-Parker equipment under the Elwell-Parker brand, and will retain existing Elwell-Parker dealers.
In US regions where there are no Elwell-Parker dealers, distribution will be through Hoist's local distributors.
Where Hoist and Elwell-Parker have competing products, such as the two brands' internal combustion truck ranges, Hoist will appoint an Elwell-Parker product specialist who will work at the dealership, but focus on the Elwell-Parker range.
Hoist Liftruck has been in the materials handling industry since 1918, and has supplied heavy duty cushion tyre lift trucks for more than 30 years.
Elwell-Parker's major markets during the past 20 years have been the heavy industrial, metals, and automotive industries.
