Cat to supply 79 forklifts for annual rodeo
HOUSTON, TX, United States
Former sponsor Cat Lift Trucks has been awarded a three-year contract to supply forklifts for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (Forkliftaction.com News #191).
Mustang Industrial Equipment Co, the local Cat dealer, will provide on-site technicians to maintain the 79 Cat forklifts and other equipment used between January 15 and March 31 each year.
Overturn fatalities decreasing

Fatalities resulting from forklift tip-overs have decreased since 1999, says Toyota Material Handling USA.
The US Department of Labor reported 118 fatalities resulting from forklift overturns from 1999 to 2003, which equates to 23 deaths a year.
However, overturn fatalities for all brands have decreased 13.6 per cent since 1999. Industry-wide, there has also been an overall 35.5 per cent reduction in overturn, collision, loss of control and falls from forklifts for the same period.
