The TVH group has bought Norwegian forklift spares distributor Bruco Maskin for an undisclosed price.
The acquisition was "confirmation of the importance the group attached to the Scandinavian market as a trading area with business opportunities", a TVH statement said.
TVH marketing advisor Sofie Duquesne said the Scandinavian market now stood for 5 per cent of the company’s turnover and was generating "sound growth figures".
"Bruco Maskin customers will be offered the same service as existing Norwegian TVH customers. TVH is confident that it can guarantee a quicker or at least equal delivery time to its Norwegian customers compared to Bruco Maskin (previously)," she said.
Trond Stenrud, from Bruco, has been appointed TVH representative in Norway.
"Trond has worked for around 10 years at Bruco Maskin as a sales representative and has an in-depth knowledge of the Norwegian marketplace," Duquesne said.
