Zhongchai Machinery Inc subsidiary Zhejiang Zhongchai Machinery Co Ltd is expanding its gear production capacity to meet growing demand from its forklift customers.

The Hangzhou manufacturer has invested USD2.7 million to boost its annual gear production capacity from 1.2 million to 2.5 million units.

Company spokesman Peter Wang tells Forkliftaction.com News that the expansion, which will be completed by the end of this year, will be supported by the employment of 25 new workers.

Zhongchai Machinery Inc produces gears, transmission gearboxes and driving systems for industrial and agricultural equipment.

"Most of our customers are Chinese and global forklift manufacturers based in China like Tailift, Doosan, Hyundai, Hangchai, Heli, Lonking and Liugong and others," Wang says.
