Bolzoni Auramo Ltd have recently delivered a multi purpose attachment to Floplast Ltd, a leading manufacturer of Plastic Building and Plumbing systems based in Sittingbourne, Kent.
The company has recently installed their own cardboard recycling facility, therefore found the need to handle unpalletised bales as well as undergoing general pallet work with their existing fork lift trucks.
During this current financial climate, the option of an additional truck with a dedicated bale clamp was not a favourable one, therefore Bolzoni Auramo Ltd were called in to find a solution.
It was decided that a fork clamp with turnable forks was the ideal solution providing maximum flexibility for this type of application. This attachment allows the fork lift operator to handle pallets as normal with the forks. Then without the need to change attachments, the forks can be turned through 90 degrees enabling the handling of unpalletised bales. It even has a facility, with another quick change, to handle any form of roll, drum or cylinder with the forks at 45 degrees.
