Forklifts used to steal grog

Muswellbrook, New South Wales, Australia
Thursday, 11 Dec 2008
Thieves broke into a business in Muswellbrook last week and used two forklifts to load 11 pallets of beer and spirits onto a truck.

According to an article in the Sydney Morning Herald, police officers discovered the fully laden truck on the side of the motorway with the engine still running and keys in the ignition after thieves abandoned it.

According to police, it appears they panicked and left the truck where it could be found. "The truck was towed to a secure holding yard at Gosford until the owner could collect it. The total value of the alcohol was about AUD30,000."
