Bolzoni Auramo introduces the innovative series BC clamp for heavy duty handling of waste paper bales.
The latest bale clamp is made for the toughest of applications in waste paper bale handling. Designed for superior visibility and greater net truck capacity.

Worldwide, Bolzoni Auramo has a special development program for the paper industry, to develop the roll and bale handling into an efficient yet damage free operation. To come up with the best solutions, Bolzoni Auramo is closely co-operating with the paper industry worldwide in order to find innovative solutions for forest products handling.
Bolzoni Auramo’s latest product, a new heavy-duty clamp BC series for waste paper handling, covers waste paper clamps with capacities of 5-6,5 tons at 800 mm load center.
This project got a big boost thanks to the co-operation of St Regis Paper Company Ltd and Linde Severnside Ltd, where the client demanded safe and damage-free bale handling.
Bolzoni Auramo’s engineering team developed a prototype bale clamp with new-design arms. This clamp was tested at the St Regis Paper Mill at Kemsley and with some small adjustments, an order for 10 units was placed for delivery this year.
"Waste paper handling is growing globally. That’s the reason why we are always improving our bale clamp in this area," says Lars Petersson, Bolzoni Auramo’s Forest Products Handling Division Manager. "This handling is tough and the safety aspect of the operation needs improving."
BC series clamps have a steel profile clamp body, and special steel T-profile arm carriers. Favourable weight, effective thickness and centre of gravity provide better residual capacity for the truck.
Easily changeable, low-friction nylon bearings guarantee smooth arm movement. Rigid bale arms specially made for waste paper handling are standard, and with thin arm profile, ensure tight stacking and easy knifing between bales. Excellent visibility through the clamp body improves handling and adds safety. BC series clamps are equipped with heavy-duty hydraulics with pressure reduction on opening and closing, and are provided with either independent arm movement or built-in sideshift.
Bolzoni Auramo and St Regis will continue to work together to further develop this concept.
