ICEM release GP100 truck

Thursday, 25 Sep 2008
Backed by its well-established experience within the high-load sector, ICEM has recently introduced another ‘heavy weight’ product: the GP100 truck.

This pallet truck combines an exceptional capacity with great performance, as it can transport 10 tons at a speed exceeding 7km/h. It can even climb slopes up to 6% with full load. The size and the weight of the truck are substantially reduced, thus improving the efficiency and the operating energy costs.

When designing the machine, we always consider the operator’s comfort. With this model,  we have reached new heights, thanks to a modern electronic steering system, a fingertip joystick to control the accelerator and a control lever for proportional drive lifting. All controls are arranged in an ergonomic-shaped dashboard in front of which the operator immediately feels at ease. Truck driving is made even more comfortable when standing in the machine by padding on the sides of the driver’s seat. The reduced height of the platform from the ground and the addition of an "operator present" safety device allows easy access to the truck. In addition, the machine is equipped with glove compartments and shelves.

The latest-generation, high-frequency electronic system drives the 6kW, 48V traction motor in a soft and progressive way; allowing an immediate and controllable regenerative breaking operation. Machine performance can be easily adjusted by using a programming consol, in order to better meet the needs of the customer. All components within electric and hydraulic systems can be easily inspected to minimise maintenance times and simplify the interventions.

A flexible coupling system between the body and the mast unit allows configuring the machine in several versions: with fixed or lifting platform, lifting forks (as a normal pallet truck), cradle or concave forks for coils and cylindrical loads in general.

The optional side extraction of battery can be removed from one side in order to be rapidly and safely replaced.
