American Industrial Transmission's (AIT) business plan is based upon giving dealers the best possible customer service. Quotes, delivery times, and products are reliable. AIT offers most styles of remanufactured lift truck transmissions. We use OEM parts to assure you that our remanufacturing is of the highest quality.
Dyno Testing
Once your transmission has been rebuilt, AIT runs it on a dynamometer to assure you that all of its ranges function, that there is no excessive noise, and that the inching works well. Leak problems are avoided by using a dye system as part of the testing process.
Free Inspection
Uncertain whether your transmission needs more than a "basic rebuilding"? Send it in to AIT and we will tear it down, clean it in our tanks, and give you a quote. If the quote is higher than the base price, and your customer chooses not to proceed, we will return the unit to you with no labor charge. You simply pay the cost of the shipping.
Large Inventory
AIT stocks most of the popular lift truck transmission and torque converter styles. We stock transmission rebuild kits, control valves, pumps, and transmission parts for most types of forklifts. Our core inventory is extensive. When the transmission you need is not in stock, it can usually be built and tested within 3 to 5 days.
Warranty
Our warranty covers the transmission and/or converter for six months or 1500 hours of use. We make exceptions for misuse, accident and abuse. Units qualifying for warranty will be repaired or replaced, and a portion of the labor costs will be covered.

Over 30 years of experience has made us experts in our field. We will be happy to help you diagnose a problem or walk you through the recommended parts needed to repair your unit.
Transmission Rebuild Kit
AIT stocks gasket kits and transmission rebuild kits for many of the forklift and industrial transmissions we service. Our kits were designed by techs for use by techs. We supply the parts that we know you will need.
Remanufactured Torque Converters
Our torque converters are remanufactured one at a time. Other facilities use the assembly line technique, but we feel that each unit deserves individual attention to detail. Our prices are competitive, and our inventory is impressive.
Drive Units
In addition to automatic and standard transmissions, AIT remanufactures the drive units for electric lift trucks.
