KAUP ANGLES FOR SLICE OF US ATTACHMENTS PIE
ASCHAFFENBERG, Germany Wednesday, 27 Mar 2002
Kaup GmbH, a leading European forklift attachments maker, will use the NA 2002 exhibition, from April 8-11 in Detroit, USA, as a launch pad to break into the Cascade-dominated US attachments market.
Kaup said in a statement that it would team with newly-appointed US distributor Servolift, of Rockaway, New Jersey, to begin the US assault. Exhibits, apart from standard attachments, will include Kaup's rotating fork clamp, sideshifting fork positioner, appliance clamp, single and double pallet handlers and versions of its side shifters.
Kaup will exhibit at three major materials handling gatherings this year, with show spaces booked at CeMAT 2002, from April 15-20 in Hannover, Germany, and Logis-Tech 2002, from October 15-19, in Tokyo. Kaup said it would exhibit several attachments which would interest visitors "looking for optimal solutions".
Kaup, founded in 1962 by president Otmar Kaup, produces 33,000 units annually. It has 500 employees and a turnover of USD42 million.
