Book "100 years forklift trucks"
New premises, a new story. The families Thermote and Vanhalst consider this to be a milestone in the evolution of the company and don't want to let the moment pass without some special attention. The publication of the book "100 years forklift trucks" has a remarkable symbolical value: the history of the forklift truck closely linked to the future of the company.
International edition.
The history of the forklift truck starts early in the 20th century with the creation of a three wheeled cart for use in a factory. Some time later, the front of the cart is equipped with a lifting system and in the back; space was created for a driver. The forklift truck is born and over the years, it will undergo many technical improvements. Today, the modern forklift truck is a piece of advanced technology with a wide array of possibilities and applications all over the world. Spare Parts for Access Equipment
The use of cherry-pickers grows exponentially, because of the desire to work in safe conditions and a more severe legislation. This legislation expects employers to always give their employee’s adapted equipment for a job above ground level. Since the use of ladders, scaffolds and lines often implies a higher safety risk, the safety manager of a company will opt for the use of a cherry-picker or scissor lift.
