Superior Turret Master – Give your machine Narrow Aisle features

Thursday, 12 Jan 2006
Superior Engineering Inc is widely recognised in the southeast United States among lift truck dealers for their superior craftsmanship and knowledge of material handling applications. For 20 plus years Superior Engineering, a family owned business in Anderson, South Carolina, has been manufacturing forklift attachments to provide solutions for numerous material handling needs. The company was started in 1984 as a manufacturer of the Roloader attachment, which enables companies to store and retrieve textile rolls, slip-sheets or boxes in a narrow aisle. Over the years Superior Engineering has expanded their product line to include the basics in material handling such as carpet poles, booms and fork extensions to more sophisticated narrow aisle attachments for everyday material handling needs.

One versatile unit is the Superior Turret Master Attachment. This is a great alternative to the high priced turret-style trucks on the market today. The Turret Master provides any manufacturer of lift trucks to supply their dealers with a turret truck to call their own. There are many advantages to choosing the Superior Turret Master Attachment. One of the best advantages is that the Turret Master can be installed onto most lift truck brands. Manufacturers do not have to stock any parts for a lift truck other than the ones already in their fleet. Another advantage is that the Superior Turret Attachment is made in the United States and any emergency spare parts can be delivered to US customers by the next business day. The issue of pricing always weighs heavily on the end user, so the attachment including the dealer-supplied forklift is almost always on the lower end of the turret truck pricing spectrum.

The general specifications of the Superior Turret Attachments allow the operators to work in aisles as narrow as 66 inches, but in most applications a 72 inch aisle is recommended. The standard day to day operation of the Turret Master attachment is easier than any turret design on the market today. This attachment allows the operator to drive to the load to be retrieved and pull it directly out of the rack without trying to steer the forks into the pallet opening, which takes hours of operator skill development. There is also no need for wasted space between pallets on the shelf; most pallets can easily be stored with as little as one to two inches between the palletised loads. There is also unlimited angle stacking ability with this attachment up to 180 degrees. The Turret Master can store and retrieve loads from either side of the truck regardless of the direction of entry into an aisle, unlike other turret trucks that can only store and retrieve from one side. This saves the operator the time of unnecessary limited aisle entry procedures.

Superior Engineering offers much more than the Turret Attachment. Our standard line includes, but is not limited to, Ram Poles, Fork Extensions, Booms, Coil Rams, A-frame Tugger modifications, Furniture Handlers, Auxiliary Carriages, Mini-Masts, special AGV mast designs, and much more. Superior also offers in-house engineering for that special one of a kind application.

Work platforms for order-pickers and counterbalance trucks are one of those hard–to-find attachments. Superior specialises in these products. Work platforms are manufactured from structural steel tubing and are designed to last for years in normal applications. Work platforms can be manufactured from steel or aluminium, depending upon application and capacities. Work platforms can be manufactured to almost any design request and multiple sizes are available.

Superior Engineering has representatives available for on-site sales meetings for their products and services with your dealer sales staff. On-site demo units are also available upon your request.
