Movers & Shakers

Thursday, 4 Aug 2005
Komatsu Forklift Europe brand manager Eiji Fukuda.
Tetsuro Matsuura has been appointed CEO for Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing (TIEM). He has also become executive vice president for Toyota Material Handling Group (TMHG). Matsura will chair TIEM and Toyota Material Handling USA Inc (TMHU)’s boards of directors. He will remain senior managing director for Toyota Industries Corp (TICO).

TIEM has appointed Susumu (Sonny) Toyoda as president and chief operating officer. He will oversee the US manufacturing facility for Toyota forklifts in Columbus, Indiana. Toyoda has also joined TIEM and TMHU’s boards of directors.

Matsuura and Toyoda take the reins from Yoshimitsu Ogihara who leaves his post as president and CEO for TIEM after 30 years with Toyota Motor Corporation and more than nine years with TIEM. He becomes senior technical advisor to Toyota and its suppliers.

Eiji Fukuda is the new brand manager of Komatsu Forklift in Europe. He is also general manager of Komatsu Division, the Komatsu Forklift Ltd division that manufactures and sells forklifts in Europe (Forkliftaction.com News #220).

Gehl Company has appointed James J Monnat as treasurer. Monnat joined Gehl in January 2005. He was previously chief financial officer and treasurer of WE Power LLC, a Wisconsin Energy subsidiary.
