Oy Meclift Ltd, a Finnish manufacturer of Variable Reach Trucks and Side Reach Stackers, has launched its latest model of Variable Reach Trucks, ML 1612R. The first deliveries are for container stuffing applications in Italy and South Africa. The truck will be demonstrated also in CeMAT 2005, 11-15 October 2005 in Hannover, Germany.
The Variable Reach Truck ML 1612R has a lifting capacity of 16 tonnes at a load center of 1.2 meters. It is characterized by a reach feature which enables it to handle heavy loads from locations impossible for the straight-masted trucks. The compact truck is capable of driving into a container, thus making container stuffing efficient. Thanks to its telescopic booms, container stuffing is possible also when the container is on a trailer.
The horizontal telescopic twin boom configuration and hydraulically movable cabin design offer excellent visibility and comfort for the driver. The truck is equipped with electrically controlled, low emission Deutz engine, ZF transmission and electrically controlled load sensing hydraulics and variable displacement pumps, combined with CanBus technology for reliable operation.
The machine has a maximum lift height of 6 m and outreach of 2.5 m. With the machine length of 5.49 m, width of 2.1 m and turning radius of 5.15 m it is the most compact lift truck on the market in its lifting capacity range.
