CASCADE XIAMEN WINS THE BIGGEST ORDER IN ITS HISTORY

Wednesday, 27 Apr 2005
Cascade Xiamen recently won an order for 38 lift truck attachments, valued at USD540,480, from Gold East Paper (Jiangsu) Co. Ltd, the biggest paper mill in China.

The order included 17 units of 6,600lbs capacity paper roll clamps and 10 units of 14,000lbs capacity pulp bale clamps.

Gold East Paper chose Cascade, a spokesman said, because of the company’s "advanced technology and quality, its professional and excellent service prior to and after sales." Gold East Paper compared Cascade to other lift truck manufacturers, and decided that Cascade offered the highest quality products and the most reliable after sales service and spare parts supply. Gold East Paper has purchased 19 paper roll clamps from Cascade since 1996.

Gold East Paper produces high-class paper products including coated art paper, offset printing paper, etc. Its production capacity is 1.9 million tons annually, and it is wholly owned by APP, a subsidiary of Sinar Mas Group Indonesia.

Cascade Xiamen is a subsidiary of Cascade Corporation (NYSE: CAE). Based in Portland, Oregon, Cascade Corporation is the world’s top producer of material handling products for lift trucks, with annual sales over $385 million U.S. Cascade was founded in 1943, and has locations in 16 countries around the globe.

Cascade’s global supply chain is unrivaled in the materials handling industry, touching more lift truck OEMs, dealers and end users around the world than any other attachment manufacturer.

By working with dealers and end users around the globe, Cascade has developed a vast array of advanced damage reduction technologies. This, coupled with flexible manufacturing, short lead times and quality products, strengthens its position as the premier supplier to the material handling industry.
