NAGOYA, Japan -- Toyota Motor Corporation has said it will provide forklifts and trucks to help with the clearing and possible restoration of the World Trade Centre site in New York.
Sources said Toyota offered the Red Cross six forklifts for the recovery operation, but was told the machines were not needed. The Japan Times said Toyota would also offer trucks, and donate USD1 million to the Red Cross. Nissan Motor Company has pledged USD500,000 to the US Red Cross and USD500,000 to victims.
