The BAS from SICK is a backup awareness system for forklift trucks with integrated sensor intelligence, which is ideal for distribution centers and manufacturing sites. Avoiding collisions in a facility is both safe and productive. The BAS system is an active system and alerts the operator to prevent possible collisions. The system detects both stationary and moving objects in the sensor's customizable field of view.
Due to its high immunity to ambient light/noise and built-in intelligence, SICK's backup awareness system operates reliably in the warehouse or on the manufacturing floor. The system has two customizable warning areas connected to up to 2 audible tones and a 270° field-of-view for reliable obstruction detection.
