Vmax is now available in the US.

Hong Kong-based Vmax has joined forces with Atlanta Forklift Sales & Service to create Vmax Forklifts America.

Atlanta Forklift was started in 2011 to provide service and maintenance in Atlanta while selling used materials handling equipment throughout North and South America.

Sales and marketing director Cameron Brown says negotiations with Vmax Forklift in Shanghai, China began in January, and the deal was cemented after Vmax officials visited the US earlier this year.

The Vmax group was founded in 2000 in Hong Kong and has three production and development facilities throughout China, he explains. "With the joint efforts of global component partners, (Vmax has) successfully created industry-leading equipment.

"After 15 years of sustainable development and growth throughout the global market, Vmax have partnered with us to create Vmax Forklifts America to add a  market leader in materials handling here in the USA."

Vmax Forklifts America has a staff of seven, including three full-time technicians. The company has a comprehensive range of materials handling equipment, including pallet jacks, electric order pickers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, LPG-powered warehouse trucks and heavy-duty Cummins diesel forklifts.

Vmax will be serviced out of Atlanta Forklift's Cherokee County premises.
