The Tri-Lift NC website lists Clark GEX series as a featured product line |
Tri-Lift NC Inc is extending its representation of the Clark Material Handling Co product line in the Carolinas and is about to move to a larger facility.
As announced on 15 January, Clark appointed Tri-Lift NC as an authorised Clark distributor in the Charlotte, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina areas of primary responsibility.
Initially, Tri-Lift NC will handle the territory from a facility in Mooresville, North Carolina, but the operation plans to relocate about 25 mi. (40 km) by April to an 18,000 sqft. (1,672 sqm) Charlotte building that the business acquired in November, says Bob Bond, dealer principal. "We will move out of Mooresville and into Charlotte" which will house all aspects of the business including equipment rental, service, parts and warehouse racking, conveyors and shelving.
"Tri-Lift NC is a great candidate to grow its coverage within the Clark family of authorised dealers," notes Rob Smith, dealer development manager of Lexington, Kentucky-based Clark. Tri-Lift NC began representing Clark in 2006 from its corporate office in Greensboro, North Carolina and, in 2012, added territory to the west toward Conover and to the east, including Raleigh, the site of another branch. Now, Tri-Lift NC is a Clark distributor for all portions of North Carolina plus an adjoining region of South Carolina.
In addition to Clark, Tri-Lift NC began representing TCM forklifts in 2008 and Linde forklifts in 2013 in North Carolina and continues those relationships. The firm also handles the TCM and Big Joe forklift lines in southern Virginia under the Tri-Lift VA LLC banner with a facility in Roanoke.
Tri-Lift NC is a direct distributor for Battery Builders Inc, doing business as BBI Battery, and also deals with the Genie, Haulotte and Snorkel aerial lift brands.
Tri-Lift NC, a 47-year-old, third-generation family business, has 52 employees including two of Bonds' sons who graduated in 2013, Brian from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Robert from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Now, Brian Bond is handling rental and trucking tasks for Tri-Lift NC, and Robert Bond is inside sales and marketing manager.
Tri-Lift NC's new location in Charlotte housed a factory branch for forklift manufacturer Crown Equipment Corp for two decades. As a result, significant existing infrastructure improvements are helping Tri-Lift NC expedite its relocation to Charlotte from Mooresville. For this market, Crown operates now through a branch in Concord, North Carolina, about 12 mi. (19.2 km) north-east of its previous site in Charlotte.
Other Clark dealership sites in the region include industrial supply distributor Dillon Supply Co's DSC Forklift facilities in Charlotte, Raleigh and Greenville.
