KAUP: ONLINE CALCULATION PROGRAMME FOR RESIDUAL CAPACITIES

ASCHAFFENBURG, Germany
Thursday, 29 Jan 2004
When the newly designed KAUP-homepage was released it was intended to integrate, in the near future, a calculating scheme for residual capacities of forklift trucks. The necessary design work has now come to an end and the calculation programme has been activated.

It is now possible, for all Attachments, to evaluate the residual capacity of the chosen forklift. Part of the calculation programme is the technical data of all relevant forklift trucks currently on the market.

Use of the calculation programme is quite simple.

After opening the KAUP-homepage the headline "Res. Capacities" appears under Contacts and News. When activating this button, a "free entry" calculation programme opens automatically.

Even easier is to choose the relevant KAUP attachment from the standard range by starting from "Products" and to click in the circle right of the technical data. The attachment data will be filled in automatically.

If the attachment carries hook-on forks, the programme automatically chooses the original standard FLT forks. Should forks of different specification be required, their data can be entered accordingly.

The residual capacity will be calculated after choosing the required forklift truck and the "calculate" button.
If a different load centre should be required it can be entered aside the standard calculation.

A warning note in red letters will appear whenever the capacity of the forklift truck is higher than the capacity of the chosen attachment or if the ISO Classes do not fit.

Calculation to this form will only show an estimated residual capacity of the FLT/Attachment combination. Various factors influencing the residual capacity, such as extreme lift heights or load centre distances are not considered in this calculation.
Therefore any result of using the calculation scheme is non-binding.
The relevant forklift truck supplier must be asked for exact values and reconfirmation.

KAUP will not assume any responsibility for the correctness of the result, any error in the programme or any error due to wrong entries or misassumptions derived from the values given therein.
