THE NEXT GENERATION OF MULTI PALLET HANDLERS - KAUP T 429

KAUP GmbH & Co. KG
ASCHAFFENBURG, Germany
Thursday, 15 Jan 2004
ASCHAFFENBURG, Germany - Multi Pallet Handlers are now indispensable in the production and logistics of palletised goods. No other forklift truck attachment has rationalised and revolutionized the inner company transport of palletised goods as much as the Multi Pallet Handler. The final result was influenced by KAUP's course-breaking design.
In 1983 KAUP tested the first double pallet handlers in customer operation; the following year the first attachments were sold. At the beginning of 2002 MPH number 10,000 was dispatched. No other manufacturer of this type of equipment can claim similar success.
The new attachment has a long row of substantial advantages:
1.) The truck driver's visibility has been improved and optimised.
2.) The large wear and tear profiles prevent damage to the profile guide.
3.) The use of special wear and tear profiles increases the intervals between greasing.
4.) Particularly important for the bottling industry: Teflon spray is provided for greasing.
5.) The forks are screwed on to the sliding profiles and no longer welded. For volume attachments up to 3200 kg capacity at 600 mm loadcentre distance all four forks are identical and interchangeable i.e. one replacement fork is sufficient.
6.) As the inner forks are placed 5 mm lower it is probable that these will wear quicker than the outer forks. Occasional exchange of the inner forks to the outer side can almost double the working life of the forks.
7.) Specially-prepared profiles are used for the guide. The large profile overlap guarantees perfect stability.
8.) All KAUP MPHs are fitted with the thousand-fold proofed sideshift components of the P 2 sideshifter. Therefore an end of stroke slow-down is ensured. The lower guides move efficiently and easily on supporting rollers.
