THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF WATTS

LYDNEY, United Kingdom
Thursday, 20 Nov 2003
Watts Industrial Tyres, based in Lydney, Glos, is the UK's leading manufacturer and distributor of solid industrial tyres. In addition to its UK plant, Watts has recently embarked upon a number of joint manufacturing and distribution ventures in China, Brazil and more recently Sri Lanka, securing its position as the UK's market leader, as well as a dominant world player.

Watts exports most of its global production capacity throughout 60 countries, as well as owning subsidiaries in the USA, France and Germany. The company offers one of the widest ranges of industrial tyre products available including solids, pneumatics, wheels, polyurethane, custom-made compounds and puncture proofing systems.

As an already dedicated supplier to many forklift truck producers, Watts Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) division is unique in its understanding of the OE market and has structured its production and supply chain to suit.

OEM requirements include consistent quality, reliable delivery and a competitive edge. Watts offers its OEM customers a competitive package for their scheduled requirements and supports this with an "OE fast-track system" for those unforeseen demands. Often an equipment order will rely solely on meeting an end user's delivery schedule and Watts OE customers can rely on a fast turnaround for both wheels and tyres.

Watts has recently achieved the important ISO 9001:2000 accreditation, and is developing a number of new product lines for the agricultural, construction and earthmoving markets, marking a new era in the company's history and development.

Watts Industrial Tyres will be exhibiting at IMHX2004 at the NEC - Birmingham - 2nd to 4th March.
